How do they protect themselves?
The Damsel fish's size which is only really in the inch range means it's hard for them to protect themselves just from there looks. They have to survive against larger fish that can eat them in one gob and the way they do that is from their aggression. The most aggressive of all the damsel fish is called the Dusky Gregory. The Dusky Gregory grows to 14cm long and is a dull grey colour. They have a range of locations such as The Indo-Pacific Ocean: Red Sea and East Africa to Tuamotu, Marquesas, and Line Islands, north to the Ryukyu and Bonin Islands, south to New Caledonia and Tonga, throughout Micronesia and the Hawaiian Islands. The Dusky Gregory are so territorial that they are known for nipping at SCUBA divers because they think of them aas a threat. So they maybe small but don't point your fingers at them.
